The qualification is an ideal introduction to fire safety awareness for employees and a strong basis for undertaking further fire safety training. The qualification provides learners with an understanding of the key principles of fire safety from cause to prevention and response.

Certification:
Useful CPD for existing fire-trained staff to update their skills and knowledge. An attendance certificate is issued after the course.

Numbers:
A maximum of 16 students are allowed and must be a minimum of 14 years of age and a certificate can be offered to all, subject to assessment.
A student cannot assume responsibility in the workplace until they reach the age of 16. Then it is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that the student is suitable for that role.
